Today we talked about happiness and how we would define this. We watched a video asking random people what they considered to be the definition of happiness. We learnt some idioms to use when talking about being happy and we said goodbye to Neus!

Today we started talking about food. We learnt some idioms related to food and then listened to some kitchen disasters. Finally you guys planned a meal for me!

Today we looked at chapter 5.4 on page 60-61. We talked about facts and myths and completed exercises up to number 6.
Homework: To research an interesting fact that is either true or just a common misconception and present it next week in class.
Today we revised lots of old vocabulary about things in the shed, and useful things around the house. We watched a clip of a comedian talking about the things that he has in his “man drawer” at home and then learnt some idioms which use language related to tools.

Today we played some games and learnt some new expressions. After the break we looked at different types of comedy and watched some classic comedy that I like.

Today we continued with our theme of communication throughout the ages and revised over how to use past modals of deduction and speculation. We practised inversion and completed exercise 8-11.

Today we spoke about communication and revised over some past tenses. We completed exercises 1-3 on page 44 and exercise 1 on page 149.
Homework: Please can you complete exercise 2 on page 149 and write a short piece using narrative tenses and used to/would.
Today was the first day back in class and we welcomed some new students; Marta, Maria and Anna.
We practised some dependent prepositions and completed the big fat quiz of the year which you can find the link above. After the break we looked at feelings and the human body.

Today we revised over some sound words that we used last week in class and then completed the activities connected to the TEDtalk you watched for homework last week.
